Patch Help

I've noticed my game CDs to be getting damaged so I though I'd try the No-CD patches...problem is I have no idea how to use them, and I'm scared to blindly mess around with stuff to figure it out in fear of corrupting my games

Can someone help me out?

You won't corrupt your games using the No-CD patches. You can see the guide here: http://www.gameburnworld.com/beginnershelp.shtml

Basically, just use the latest version of WinRAR to extract the No-CD exe to your games directory/folder (where you installed the game) replacing the original exe file(s).
