caesar IV mini image help

i cant get it to work i have tried a lot of thing and still no luck. i tried deamon tools the new one, with SecuROM_Loader_v7.26. it just says insert original insted of back up. i tried on alcohol 120 and thats just says conflict with emulator.

Try Prot.Stop or CureROM using Daemon-Tools.

Reboot your PC

Then mount the minidisc image to DT
run prot.stop, select hide
exit prot.stop
then try to play.

If you still get the error, you may need to use a full image, in which case you can take the mds file from the "minidisc" (smaller file) and replace the one for your full image (rename the smaller mds file the same as the one for the full image and replace it)

Then try that way, make sure to reboot if you get the error.

If that fails, try runing the game from the "autorun" menu instead of from the desktop shortcut. (the menu that auto opens when the full image of the disc is mounted)

Tried all that, still doesen't work. Didnt try last step tho, couldnt examine cd anymore, even when i unrar it... But any other suggestions ? I've tried almost everything except messing with registry:P

not sure then, I do not have the game so I am not even sure the minimage works at all.

You can try making a full image and use the MDS from the miniimage to replace the one for the full image.

Make sure to rename the *.mds file (smaller of the 2 files) the same as your full image file name. Example, if you have full image Caesar4Full.mdf/Caesar4Full.mds

And you have the minidisc named C4MiniDisc.mdf/C4MiniDisc.mds

Take the C4MiniDisc.mds, rename it to Caesar4Full.mds and put in the same location as the full MDF, then mount the full image and see if it works with above steps.

You're probably right, may need to use the full image and mount it to Daemon-tools 4 then use Prot.Stop or other anti-blacklisting tool.

Ok, I got it working now.
I reinstalled the game, mounted with daemon tools and used securom 1.2.
3 or 4 times gave me error, to change to right cd:P then finally it went on.

Now i have another problem:P

I want to start a new game, starts loading but then gives me error.
Error is smth about c4dotnetreg, what has failed to initalize correctly or smth and it is somehow connected to saved games, though i dont have any:P

I have tried everything mentioned here. I have tried team clonecd [supposedly tested] ccd image, and the mini image, tried them over 30 times, with no luck!

Unfortunately I am low on cash atm and not into warez. If my bro decides to get it I may ask him to bring it over so I can mess with it, but hes just been looking at it and not commited to buying it. Hes been busy playing Guild Wars :/

You can try making a new image using Alcohol 120% as a mds/mdf. Not sure how well CCD copies protections these days, I pretty much gave up on it and stick with AL120 and Blindwrite

hi i have this game on a 1.3gb file which have in it cd1 and cd2 files with 97 rar file in both and as it is my first time can anyone help me and tells me how to convert them in ms5 files so i could then run them with deamon tools pls?or if there is a guide on how to do this as im not familiar with the process.any help will be very much appreciated guys

Hokay, I finally got it to run...

BUT not using an image...

What I did was to burn CD1 (ccd-cr4a.mds) using Alcohol 120% with the settings to:
Securom *NEW (in the drop down box)
and TICK the "Burn "RMPS" to recordable Media option

then I burnt it at the slowest speed that Alcohol said (4x)

After which, I inserted the CD into my drive, when the game menu came up I just hit "play"

It works, I have reloaded the game twice, and it loaded and ran both times with no problems at all..

I'm happy, if I stuff the CD I can just burn another, and CD's are cheap to buy..

Hope this helps someone else..

yeah, RMPS usually does work, but kinda defeats the whole purpose of playing without a CD in the drive.
