View Full Version : Darkstar One - Virus detected
Hi.
I have downloaded the DarkstarOnev1.0ProperWorkingNoDVDFixedexeEng.rar, and when I run Mcafee antivirus on it, Mcafee detectes it as a virus called
Trojan name : New Malware.aq.......
Is it a virus, or is it just because its a no-cd file ???
I have installed the game several times now from the cd-rom, and virus is not on the original game..
kind regards

Will look into it with a few other scanners. Thanks for the heads up. will post back later.
* Update *
Just scanned the files, nothing found. If you think yours may be infected, you should redownload the files.

Checked it too with panda antivirys 2007 latest updated and haven't found anything.....
Hi again..
Thanks for your help. I have downloaded the file many times now and scanned it with McAfee antivirus 2006 fully updated, and it still detects it as a
low risk trojan virus .....
But it seems , as if it is Mcafee antivirus that is a little bit too sensitive in this particular case...
Ihave a friend who has Norton antivir, so I will try it with that too, and if nothing is detected, I will use the no-cd-crack...
Greetings from Denmark :-)

Do you have an administrator account on Windows? If your logged in as a standard user and the file is marked "Read Only" you will not be allowed to overwrite the file. You will first need to login as an Admin and then unmark the file read only.
