View Full Version : I really need Sims 2 Help

Okay I have this Sims2 Nightlife and I'm trying to do the manual installation. So I copy all the files off Disc 1, but for some reason I can't copy that one compressed file. DOes anybody no how to get that compressed file off of DIsc 1 or where I can download that compressed file?

Do you get an error when trying to copying such as CRC Error? If so, it is possible the CD/DVD is scratched, in such case, you will either need to replace the cd with a new one, or try to repair it with a scratch repair kit. You can try wood polish such as Old English and Pledge as well, make sure to use a very very soft cloth to buff the cd with.

Seems like your CD/DVD Drive is slowing down to a very slow speed which will cause this error.

Check this thread for some detailed instructions.

Also, check the CD/DVD for any bad scratches. Problems reading it from a scratch will cause the drive to slowdown as it will attempt slower speeds to read. InstallShield Software has issues running normally when this happens.

Also try cleaning the CD/DVD drive using a CD Cleaner.
