I need help with darkstar one because i downloaded the no dvd fix but when I start up the game i still get a message wich says: pleas insert the correct dvd so somebody give some advise please

I would not waste money on it if that is what your asking.

The story of the game is decent, but not enough to keep you intersted, gameplay is similar to Freelacer, the graphics are not quite as good however. They are ok, but not what you would expect from a new game.

Overall, it gets boring very fast.

np m8, I already beat the storyline portion of it, it is not a bad game, just not worth wasting cash on. If anything I would wait until it is like $12 USD or $5-$6 USD in the bargain bin before even buying it..

I would just as well stick to Freelancer with some mods such as TNG if anything. Then after playing something like X2 or X3, its not even worth looking at. This is my own opinion of course, so don't take what I say to heart, you can download the demo to see for yourself. English and German Demo's are out.

Modding is also limited as in, most the ship meshes ect.. are hard coded into the exe, for this reason, unless you hex edit the exe itself, importing your own meshes and getting them to work will not be possible. Another thing older gen games such as Freelancer have that this new game doesn't.

i must that i could spend all my day in front of my Pc playing freelancer...Now it is ones of my favorites!I also played X3 liked it very much but not as freelancer...Oh by the way darkstar one got 8.1 at gamespot which is a very good rating...

Most games of that genre do, because they are different from other games that we normally play. And comparing them to older games of the genre, they tend to look better regardless. Don't judge by impartial ratings such as GS, try for yourself and then give your own. They tend to be wrong as the person who tries the game is never the same person and always has a liking to certain types of games. The person who wrote the article and rated it probably happened to like it to some extent.
