Cant play game

i used alcohol 120 and i made a copy of Empire Earth and its on a CD-R and it opens fine but i cant play it but the screen comes up with the play regsiter etc. so whats going on here???

Empire Earth, AOC, or EE 2?

Empire Earth just has some CD-Checks,

Empire Earth: AoW has SafeDisc 2

Empire Earth 2 has SecuROM 7

So, need to know exactly which one you are running to be sure we dont give wrong help for the wrong game..

Most likely its the protection kicking in if you are running EE:AoC or EE 2

If so, you will need to make a backup using the profile in Alcohol 120% for the protection the games contains.

^^ you can try one of the many fixes, depending on what game series you are running., or trying to run, these fixes will allow you to play without the CD in the drive.

just the first empier earth and i burned it at low speed and it actually started up and stuff but when i went to play random map it just stoped it froze up so whats goin on here

Don't know, could be a number of things including a bad copy of the game. Have you updated the game with the latest patch?

Have you tried to make another copy of it to see if possibly mad copy? Could be your CD-Reader not able to read the disc properly (old drives that have ben used alot can wear down specially when trying to copy protection, even simple ones)

Try the "Fixed" .exe on the site as listed in the link I posted in my last post, maybe it will let you play then, and better yet, will let you play with no cd in the drive at all..

it works with the regular CD in and i made about 6 copies using different programs etc on some it wont open and on 2 it opens up u know film comes etc and then i try to play a random map and then it freezes and i jsut got this comp like 2 weeks ago so its not the burner so i dunno what it is i have used clony alcohol anydvd clonyxll or whatever and nothing i dont get it ???? :mad:

if it works with the regular CD then it is a problem with the copy, and/or emulation of the copy. Try turning "All Emulation Options" on in Daemon-Tools and see if mounting the image or playing from a burned backup works.

Also, as suggested try one of the nocd fixes in the link I posted in my first post. You still have not posted a result in trying that. If it works, then it definately is a problem with the copy you made.
