okay I just quit playing RTW not to long ago.....so I cant help but to so much if had the game installed I could tell you exactly what to type in the target link. But this editor your talking about is called a Battle Editor. Its okay not realy worth the fuss unless you like making your own maps which can get tedious. But anyways.. if you right click your RTW shorcut on yoru desktop then go to properties......then you will see a target . Well in this target your suppose to type in something at the end of whats there , its suppose to say something like C:\programfiles\rometotalwar\..............and here or somewere along the end your suppose to type something like battleEditor.exe or something. Im not sure ...i cant remember sorry..but all you have to do is go into a game and ask around some one there will tell you ..better yet ..try www.rometotalwar.com and look around that site for the info..but you will get it..................the game gets boring after a while but ENJOY>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

forgot to mention this battle editor ............is not a mod or anything..its in the game files itself just you have to enter the command into the shorcut target to get it to show up ..after you enter in the right info..once you star the game you will see battle editor option on the rtw main menu.....pretty simple.......................and it will be there fo eva
peace....hey im a new member .........nice site

okay here we go...new it was something like this just couldnt remember : ) thanks for the warm welcome :
Q. How do I enable the Battle Editor in RTW v1.2?
A. First of all go to the shortcut you use to run RTW, be it on the desktop or on the Start menu. Right click on it and select properties. Go to the line labelled Target. Add -enable_editor behind the quotation marks. If you have elected to disable the movies, just add it, separated with space. Eg: "C:\ Program Files\Activision\Rome - Total War\RomeTW.exe" -enable_editor
With the no movies option: "C:\ Program Files\Activision\Rome - Total War\RomeTW.exe" -nm -enable_editor
Save the changes and you are done! The Battle Editor can be accessed under Options at the main menu.
The documentation for the editor can be found here:
download.activision.com/t...r_docs.zip

A common problem: watch the placement of the double quotation marks!
