every time i try to play the sims a message pops out saying that the data directory is not found???? How can i fix this problem?????

What are you using to run the game, the CD, or a No-CD patch?

i get the same thing, im useing a no-cd patch thing is there a way to fix this?

You need to extract the No-CD patch to the correct location, find where the original sims exe (C:/Program Files/Games Name) and extrac the No-CD patch there.
