View Full Version : Neverwinter Nights Platinum (DVD)
Hi,
I have a original of Neverwinter Nights Platinum. It includes all 3 games:
1. Neverwinter Nights
2. Shadows of Undertide
3. Hordes of the Underdark
Is there an exe or some file some where that would help me ?

Does the game run of one .exe of does each game have an individual .exe, I know the game is installed as one, but there should be individual .exe for each expansion, if so, just use a No-CD patch for each individual expansion.
It runs off of just one exe.

nwmain.exe is the original name, try and use one of the Neverwinter Nights No-CD's, and rename it to what the original exe is called (nwn.exe) and replace it with the No-CD one, you never know your luck.
Ok, I will give it a try. I will let you know how it goes.

np, it should work, was a simple CD-Check, was pretty easy to "fix"
I went ahead and sent the exe to Duff to be posted, since it is working with your standard game then it should work with the expansions since they all run from the same exe. If not, lemme know, so I can fix it for the expansion, but I am pretty sure it will work :)
Hey,
I found out that there is cd-checks all over the disk. I think about 4 or 5. I wish there was fixed files for those to.

the only reference to any cd checks I found in the exe was drivetype, so if there is any other checks then it must be in another file, but often it is not checking for a CD, it could be it is referencing movies or music that is on the CD in which case you can copy the Movies and Music to the game folder keeping the same folder as on the CD.
Example. Copy Folder "Movies" on the cd to <GameFolder>\Movies\
of course, the name and location the folder is and needs to be maybe different that what I posted, but i could be something like \data\movies or \system\movies ect...
Just from lookin inside the exe, I can see references to \music\, so check the CD to see if there is any music folder, in which case copy it to the game folder <NWN>\Music\
I do not see any Video reference, but that does not mean there is not any, since I do not have the version of the game you have, you would need to check the cd to see of there is anything is may be trying to find. Anytime a game tries to get movies or music that it cannot find it will usually lead to an error or cannot locate cd, ect..
Thanks,
I will look into it.
