GTA:Vice City no CD(cant find anythign that works)

Game copy world not even there, even if it was there it probably wouldnt work

uhh ive tried a lot of different cracks and none work.. ive tried 1.0 and 1.1 cracks.. I dont understand how everyone is able to get a working No cd .exe? am i the only ******* on the internet that cant find one that works? Its funny I see all these different authors of vice city cracks and there all exactly the same file size..

Yes im obviously placing the .exe in the proper folder, ive done it 100 times now.

As for the NO-CD, are you certain you are putting the file in the right place? Is it asking you to overwrite the old file, and if so are you clicking yes?

The no-cd's have been used for a long time now for that game and they work.. I myself have used them and play without a CD.

Also, have you updated the game to version 1.1 using the update patch released by Rockstar Games on the Take 2 website?

Note you cannot use 1.1 no-cd if you are still using 1.0 of the game, try updating the game first and then apply the no cd fix. Be sure to overwrite the old file. If you continue to have problems, post here and lemme know.

^^ NO-CD's I have used myself that 100% work... note that the Fairlight and gimprus releases are 1.1 only, where as the one by FFF works on both 1.0 ad 1.1

Yep im quite sure im putting the crack in the right folder, it's asking me to overwrite and im clicking yes.

I just tried the gimpsRus and FairLight that you linked(im running 1.1), doesnt work. The FFF link is not working though

Also, I have the install CD so i didnt download the game or anything, if that has something to do with my problem. Im having ATAPI issues according to Event viewer so when I put a disc in, including Vice city and other games, the game freezes horribly. Basically it's unplayable. Yet doom3 runs without any hitches at all with the CD in. strange. I have no clue what the issue is, ive updated my motherboard, changed IDE cables, recently purchased a new CD/DVD burner, made sure all bios settings were correct, etc. Anyway im going off on a tangent. But that's why I want the No cd

Sounds to me like some hardware/software issues. While it can be fixed, it would be very time consuming tracking the problem, especially via the forums where I cannot take a look first hand at your system.

Do you use XP ? And are you using SP2? Many people have problem when they download and install SP2, however... In my own labs I have tested Many platforms and tested upgrade package vs. slipstream install and found that SP2 when slipstreamed is actually ALOT more stable than people realize and actually has little problems, including the built in firewall.

If you want help with making a custom slipstream CD as well as a personal restore cd using my custom iso I have created for use with customers systems, lemme know I can help you via MSN, ICQ or XFire. The custom restore iso I created is an image of your system when it is cleanly installed and working properly, along with your settings how you want, favorites, shortcuts, ect.. And any programs you want to install (no games installed yet however..) Then we put the image on CD and using ghost, we can restore your system exactly how it was when you first installed and takes less than 2min to restore.. Very useful when you start having these issues and want to avoid waiting for windows to install just to have to spend more time configuring it back the way you want it..

In other words, I recommed backing up your files you want to keep via your burner and starting from a clean install of windows including repartition and reformat..

Sre you by chance trying to run MTA (Multi-Theft Auto) and do you have XFire running as well ??

If so, shut off XFire when trying to play, it causes the game to not work properly because MTA and XFire both use the same methods to implement chatting in games.

ok here is what i did and it works fine now.I uninstalled the game and reinstalled it but when i installed it i put in the vice city radio station so you need both cds to fix this problem.

ya, I believe that is in the instructions with one of the no-cd fixes... If not it is supposed to be ..

Anytime a game uses video/audio off a CD when it is being played, you should copy them to the game folder..

i have vice city fully installed on my computer and have a no cd crack

the game plays but there is no radio
i need to listen to it and i have the files in the audio folder but the game wont play them

is there a no cd crack which plays the radio as well

Which game fix are you using, and you are 100% certain you have copied over all the audio files, also make sure your game version matches that of the game fix version.
