:confused: I tried to get a no-cd fix for the new Sims EP, but I couldn't find one that works...now, even with the cd in the drive, the game tells me to instert the disk...


do I have to re-install it?:confused:

Probably, Reinstalling would be a good idea, you should be able to uninstall the game and still keep savegames ect.. and should not effect other expansions or Sims2 that are installed. Only can try it and see.

There is no "working" no cd fix, so on that you are correct, the only currnet way to play without a CD/DVD is to make an image and mount to Deamon-Tool4 or Alcohol 120% (new version)

Or do the same, cept use the MiniDisc image found at

I have DL'd this disc image from GBW, as well as created my own image with alcohol 120, and it STILL asks me to insert the disc. Any ideas? I've not run into this problem before, every alcohol image I've used worked great!! I need help if anyone has it working, I'm wondering if it's a version problem, as I've recently upgraded from daemon 3.47 to the newest one, not sure what version. We have multiple computers in our house, so I need a working backup!! I refuse to turn over the original disc to my kids!! lol

I found a bit torrent no cd patch, but I'm not sure what to do with it now that it's downloaded...

just turn off any firewall and or virus scanner
