When does this happen? When you exit the game?

Are you using a No-CD patch or the CD?

Scan your PC online, http://housecall.trendmicro.com/

I doubt it is a virus, but to be safe, scan anyways.

Could be a conflict with the game/software and drivers. Makes sure you have updated your drivers to the latest version. (Video/sound ect..)

Run scandisk on your system, (right click your hard drive icon goto Properties > Tools and click check now (If using 2K/XP) It will ask you to do it when you reboot, click yes, reboot your PC and let it do its scan...)

after scandisk, run defrag., same thing, right click HDD ... Choose Defragment Now.

Try to run the game again and see, if you still get the problem, then please post in this thread the specs of your PC.

Video Card type (nVidia/ATI)
Driver version currently using.
Sound card (type/driver)

List anything you are running in your computer along with the drivers currently being used.

Also, What OS you are using and is it up to date from MS Update?

SP1 or SP2 ?

Using Windows Built in Firewall ?

Anyways, lemme know.

I used to have this same issue when playing Counter-Strike, and subsequently later when I played the first Battlefront.

A video card upgrade made the problem better, but still didnt fix it. Believe it or not, I got a larger heatsink for my processor and the problem permanently went away. It's my opinion that your proc is overheating and goes down in attempt to keep any damage from taking place.

I turned this feature off in system bios once. I burned up the processor two days later.
