From memory a v1.01 No-CD was never released, I think you may be able to use a previous version No-CD (e.g. v1.0) or you could try the mini backup image.

Will there be a 1.02 No CD patch

Quite possibly, when did this patch update come out? Usually a group won't crack it if the exe isn't touched by the patch update, as the protection will remain untouched, so a previous version No-CD can be used (like v1.01), but if the exe is updated by the patch update then it will need to be cracked, as the byte patterns etc. will be changed, and possibly a newer version of the protection is installed along with the bug fixes in the update.

The Battle for middle earth patch 1.01 was released on or around the 5th of February 2005, it was due to be in January, but was delayed slightly.

The 1.0 nocd patch does not work with 1.01.

Mounting a disc image of a 3.5Gb DVD is also a no go.

I own a cybercafe with 25 legal copies, and obviously cant have dvd's lying around.. unfortunately the image is so large, that taking up 3.5Gb per pc is not going to happen, im short of disk space as it is..

I have looked high and low for this file, so far no joy, unfortunately without a new nocd for 1.01 the game is unplayable, unless you revert back to 1.00

However most of my customers like to play online, autoupdate the game, then bombout, so even if i revert to 1.00, I will still have the same problem.

I contacted ea games commercial support, their answer was, they dont condone the use of nocd patches, and I should use the official game media.. (yeah right, 25 dvd's per game lying around the shop!) but the chap on the telephine did say ... but as long as i have a legal licence, if i use a no-cd patch, then they are unofficially ok with it.. but they wont provide me with a no-cd patch.. that I have to find myself..

which is why I am here..

please help

I'm sure one will be released, the Rome: Total War patch update No-CD patch is the same, many requests, but people just have to be patient, keep an eye on the New Files section on the main page.
