Age of Empires 3 drm questions

my question is does the age of empires 3 crack remove the drm from the computer or just disable it? I dont want the drm hanging around messing with my computer. Is there a way to install it without installing the drm in the first place? any info on what type of drm it uses?

As I don't have this game I can't say whether it does or not, someone who owns the game maybe able to shed some light on this?
