I just bought this great cd set and want to back them up (for once).

Yes, I learned the valuable lesson (the hard way) of backing up software when my CD-ROM freaked out on my WIN2k3SBS disk1 and Micro$oft would not replace it because my action pack subscription had expired.

I have never backed up a copy protected CD before so you will have to talk down to me.

Thanks.

Try using Alcohol 120% burning software from here: http://www.gameburnworld.com/cdburningsoftware.shtml

I have tried Alcohol 120% with the safedisc 2/3 setting. Seems that CD1 has SafeDisc4.

I have tried an image with daeman blockers, but nothing.

I dont know what to do next.

It's not always possible to burn games, try Daemon Tools to emulate the game.

Even though there's a image someone provided to mount in DAEMON TOOLS to play THE SIMS COMPLETE without CD1 actually in the drive, it doesn't work so don't even bother messing with that route. The main SIMS COMPLETE executable has to be modified like all the rest of the previous SIMS games. So - you either have to wait for someone to modify it to lift the Safedisc4 protection or take your chances and be very careful with your CD1.
