I wanted to back up my quake 4 and age of empires 3 a cpuple of days ago so i made images of the quake 4 dvd disc and 3 images of age of empires. I burnt all the images to one DVD 5. But when i put it into one of my computers it wouldnt read the disc. Then i thot id try it on my friends computers but it worked on one but not the other. Would this be because there old dvd drives or is it the way i burnt it. It did say somthing about the quake 4 image being over 2 gb.

thx

It could possibly be that you have an older DVD reader, but not likely. What I will ask though, is your friends DVD just a DVD reader, or is it a DVD burner, and I would assume that your DVD is a burner/reader combo. Protections do not like CD/DVD writers, that may be your problem?

well my older comp has just an dvd reader. And my friends dvd read/writer didnt read the dvd at all but the dvd reader read only the age of empire images and not the quake ones.

Do you get an error message when it does not read the disc, or does the disc keep spinning?

Sometimes it wont read the dvd and if it does the computer freezes when i mount the image
